What Temaki Live collects when you book an event with us, what we do with it, and what we don't do with it.
Last updated September 30, 2026
Temaki Live LLC is a mobile hand roll bar based in Herndon, VA, serving Northern Virginia, D.C. and Maryland from there, and New Jersey, New York City and Philadelphia from Sayreville, NJ. This policy covers temakilive.com and the bookings taken through it. It is written plainly on purpose — if anything here is unclear, email hello@temakilive.com and we will answer it in the same words.
What you give us
When you reserve a date, request a consultation or write to us, we collect what the form asks for and nothing else:
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- The event: date, start time, address, guest count, the items you ordered, and anything you tell us about allergies or dietary needs.
- For corporate and pharma lunches only: company name, attendee count and the sales rep's name. We collect these because they are printed on your itemized receipt for Sunshine Act documentation — that is the only reason they exist in our records.
- Anything you write in a message to us, and our replies.
Dietary and allergy notes are health information you have chosen to share so we can feed you safely. We pass them to the chefs working your event and we do not use them for anything else.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Square. Your card number is entered into Square's own form and goes directly to Square — it never reaches our servers, and we never see it or store it. What we keep is the record of the transaction: the amount, the date, whether it was a deposit, a balance or a refund, and Square's reference for it. Square's handling of your card is governed by their privacy notice.
How the site counts visits
We measure our own traffic, in-house. There is no Google Analytics here, no advertising pixel, no Facebook tag, and no third-party video or social embed on any page — when we link to YouTube or Instagram, it is a link, not an embed, so those companies learn nothing about you unless you click.
Our own counter sets no cookies. It stores a random identifier in your browser — one in local storage that persists, one in session storage that expires after thirty idle minutes — and sends us, for each page you open: the page's path, the page you landed on, the site that referred you, any campaign tag in the link, your device type, your browser's language, and the two-letter country our network provider reports. We do not store your IP address. Your address is used for a few seconds in memory to stop one machine flooding us with requests, and is then discarded.
None of this identifies you, and none of it is joined to your booking. Clearing your browser's site data for temakilive.com erases the identifiers, and the next visit starts fresh.
We send transactional email through Resend: booking confirmations, receipts, payment links, a reminder before your event and a request for feedback afterwards. These are part of the service you booked rather than marketing, so they are not something to unsubscribe from — but tell us and we will stop sending the optional ones. We do not run a marketing mailing list, and we do not sell, rent or share your address with anyone who does.
Who else sees your information
Only the people and services needed to actually put on your event:
- Our own team, including the chefs working your date.
- Supabase, which hosts our database, and Render, which runs the site.
- Square for payments, and Resend for email.
- Anyone we are legally required to tell, which has not happened and which we would tell you about unless the law forbade it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. We have never done either and the business has no reason to start.
How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept for seven years, because they are business and tax records. Inquiries that never became bookings are kept for two years. The anonymous page-view records are kept for two years. You can ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to keep.
Your choices
Email hello@temakilive.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. If you are in a state with a privacy statute that gives you those rights formally, this is how you exercise them; if you are not, you have them here anyway. We will not charge you and we will not make the site worse for you because you asked.
Children
The site is for people booking catering, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. Children are very welcome at the counter.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we will change this page and move the date at the top. Questions go to hello@temakilive.com.
Anything unclear
Ask before you book.
We would rather answer a question now than have you find the answer in a policy later.
